Why Ryan? 

Ryan is running for City Council because he wants to rapidly improve affordability, safety, and inclusion in Boulder - three things that will make Boulder stronger and are key to unlocking urgent climate action. 

Why volunteer? 

Local elections are won and lost by the passion of volunteers.  Volunteers are critical to build positive name recognition for Ryan’s campaign.

Campaign Activities. The following are relatively short and important to the success of our campaign. Choose one or many!

  1. Deliver campaign flyers- form (1 hour, 1-2 days in October)

  2. Campaign Event Ambassador - form (1-2 hours per event )

  3. Knock on Doors  - form (1-2 hours per session)

  4. Deliver yard signs - form (1 hour per delivery)

  5. Make calls to Boulderites - form (30+ minutes per session)

  6. Send texts to Boulderites - form (30+ minutes per session)

  7. Write a Letter to the Editor - form (30 mins)

Campaign Manager Roles. 5+ hours a week - email Scott Miller

  • Social Media Manager

    • Creates and manages overall social media editorial calendar

    • Potentially updates social media sites with posts and links

    • Experience - created and/or managed presence on social media platforms

  • Paid Digital Ads Manager

    • Prioritize and create digital ads on social media to support the campaign

    • Work with a budget; deploy the ads

    • Experience - purchased ads on social media platforms, especially FB

  • Voter Data Manager

    • Manages campaign data (through professional software or Google Sheets)

    • Train and manage data volunteers

    • Experience - data analysis and management especially for local elections

  • CU Student Leader

    • Coordinate campaign activities to win CU student votes on Nov 7th

    • Inspire CU Students to volunteer and staff campaign events

    • Experience - motivated CU student excited to help win Boulder elections

  • Community Events Manager

    • Collaborate with campaign leaders to identify community events to speak/attend

    • Coordinate logistics for Ryan to speak and for RFB Ambassadors to attend

    • Experience - knowledge of local events; speaking logistics; coordinating volunteers

  • Canvassing (door knocking) Manager

    • Collaborate with campaign leaders to prioritize neighborhoods to canvass

    • Coordinate with the Volunteer Manager for volunteers to canvass the neighborhoods

    • Experience - canvassing experience

  • Boulder Seniors Leader

    • Coordinate campaign activities to win the senior vote on Nov 7th

    • Inspire Boulder seniors to volunteer and staff campaign events

    • Experience - motivated Boulder senior excited to help win Boulder elections

  • Phone Bank / Text Manager

    • Prioritize phone calls and texts with campaign leaders

    • Train volunteers to have effective conversations and texts with voters

    • Experience - campaign phone/text banking

  • Yard Sign Coordinator - work with campaign volunteers to deliver “Ryan” yard signs

  • Facebook Manager - own Ryan’s presence - posting, responding to comments, EZ sharing

  • Instagram Manager - own Ryan’s presence - posting, responding to comments, EZ sharing

  • YouTube Manager - own Ryan’s presence - post “Ryan Air” videos, EZ sharing

  • NextDoor Manager -own Ryan’s presence - posting, responding to comments

  • Reddit Manager - own Ryan’s presence - posting, responding to comments

  • TikTok Manager - own Ryan’s presence - posting, responding to comments, EZ sharing

  • Data Volunteers - support the data manager by inputting and reviewing voter data

  • Postcard Manager - coordinate volunteer-created handwritten postcards to secure votes

  • Letter-to-the-Editor Manager - help voters write Letters to the Editor for Boulder newspapers
